A vehicle registration number UAX 706D rammed into students who were from school heading back home at Kisowera trading center found in Nama sub county Mukono district.
The deceased has been identified as Shadia Naluze aged 5 years in baby class and those in critical condition Patience Nakachwa 4 years, Britin Nakalyowa 4 years, Vincent Mutiiti 4 years, and Faiswa Ramathan who were rushed to Nsambya and Mukono International medical center.
Pupils knocked by car belong to Good Hope Infant school and were knock after the driver of the vehicle refused tom stop when he found them crossing the road.
One of the teachers who were helping these pupils to cross the road say that they raised the flag to stop the vehicles so that the pupils may cross the road but the driver found them crossing and rammed in them.
Officer in charge of traffic at Mukono police division Moses Sonko has confirmed this accident and says that police has arrested the driver identified as Bashiri Walugembe.
Sonko says that this accident happened because the driver Walugembe of not understanding and interpret road signs.
