Minister without portfolio Hajj Abdul Nadduli over the weekend survived being beaten up and lynched when angry mob of NRM supporters attacked him over Togikwato allowances.
Men and women who turned up for the meeting from districts of Buvuma, Mukono, Buikwe and Kayunga seemed to have been coached to shout and sing approvals for Age limit removal (Gikwateko),angrilly retracted their statements when they were denied allowances.
This incidence took place at Summer gardens in Kikoza Mukono Municipality when some ex-NRM officials led by one Sam Bbemba called a conference to mobilize support for the age limit amendment campaign and invited Haji-Nadduli as the chief guest.
Supporters had been promised allowances but after they were served rice and meat they were told to show party spirit by providing their own transport back to their villages because the minister who was supposed to cater for these allowances came with nothing.
After Nadduli seeing these supporters lining up for food he entered a house to be safe.
The supporter stormed the house and Mukono anti riot police was tipped that saved Nadduli who hastily drove away and Bbemba the organiser was too disappointed.
Supporters grabbed files and threatened to plunder the place in retaliation but police checked them out.
They also vowed to burn NRM cards for not giving them money.
Members decided to take off with some chairs as a way of paying themselves and cursed NRM officials.
In order to save life of Nadduli police decided to escort him out of Mukono town back to Kampala after residents started hunting for him.
NRM top officials kept away from this meeting.
