Traditional healers have started recruiting and constructing their worshiping centers in various parts of the country in their religion known as Tondism.
They started their campaign at Kasala village found in Kyampisi sub county Mukono district were over 25 people were converted and baptized into their religion.
The ceremony was presided over by their high priest known as Jumba Lubowa Aligeswa and they started their service by singing and dancing their songs of worship.
Afterwards Aligawesa called one by one and asked them if they are ready to denounce their religion and change their Christian names and afterwards he baptized them and given a new name.
Majority of people who denounced their religion the big number were from Anglican church, Catholic and Islam and made vows never to return to them if they so the face death.
Aligawesa said that this is the time for Ugandans and Africans to go back to their traditional way of worship saying that majority of them are being called English names which they do not know their meaning.
He says that they are planning in coming general elections to front a candidate to contest for president of Uganda because for them their spirits have already shown them how Museveni will leave state house.
According Aligawesa says that currently they have constructed about seven worshiping centers in various parts of the country and that they have already registered the religion of Tondism as required by Ugandan laws.
In past years religious leaders have been fighting very hard through prayers so that they can eliminate witchcraft worshiping from the district of Mukono and its surroundings.
Previously traditional healers they had started carrying out crusades in Mukono municipality but they were dispersed by police on order of municipal leadership.
However Aligawesa says now they have officially registered their religion of Tondism as required by law and now they are ready to start spreading their gospel.
