The II Katikiro of Buganda Apollo Makubulya asked youths to fight for peace in the country saying that tear gas, imprisoning opposition politicians and canning demonstrator will never bring peace in the country.
Makubulya who was opening workshop on peace composed of youths under Kampala Ssesse Rotary club held in Kyaggwe- Mukono said that there must be opportunity of listening to dissatisfied Ugandans if the country is to have a peace.
The rotary club of Kampala Ssesse has started training about 140 youths from various parts of the country on how to promote and preserve peace in the country.
This training which is taking place at Seeta town found in Mukono municipality was officially opened by 2nd, Katikiro of Buganda Apollo Makubulya who said that there is a needy to apply law equally to every in Uganda if the country is to have peace.
Makubulya explained that the use of tear gas and sticks on people expressing their dissatisfaction will never bring peace in the country.
The president of Rotary Club Kampala Ssesse Hellen Kaweesa Nanteza said that they have decided to train the youths in matters of peace because most times they usually involve themselves into activities which cause instabilities in the country.
Kaweesa explains that these youths who are under going three days training are going to be advocates of peace in areas were they live.
